Your home screen
See today's shift at a glance, pick up open shifts, and find your way around Shiftly Me.
Home is the first thing you see when you open Shiftly Me. It answers the question you actually opened the app for: am I working today?
Who this is for
Staff using the Shiftly Me app on their phone.
What's on the home screen
- Your greeting — a hello with your first name, and the bell in the top right for your notifications.
- Today's shift — if you're rostered today, it shows here. If you're not, you'll see No shifts today and Check back later to see your shifts.
- Open shifts — a count of shifts going spare that you could pick up. Tap it to see them and put your hand up. See Claiming open shifts.
- Start unscheduled shift — begin a shift that isn't on your roster, for when you're called in or cover at short notice.
Moving around the app
The tabs along the bottom are the whole app:

A red badge on a tab means something needs you — an unread message, for example.
Notifications
The first time you open your roster, Shiftly Me asks whether to turn on push notifications, so you hear about new roster alerts, shift or roster changes, and shift reminders without opening the app. You can say Not now and turn them on later — see Notification preferences.
